Guys, I am absolutely in LOVE with this yellow top from Zara.com! The yellow color just makes me happy when I look at it and I have to say, the structure and design from this top are amazing. The fabric is really structured, yet not to heavy or warm to wear for summer.
You all may know I’m not the biggest fan of color in my wardrobe, but from time to time I do like a little statement piece that just pops. This top is definitely such a piece!
Even though I love the top… I’m feeling a bit hesitant to order at Zara again in the future. When I bought this top in april (I think) to feature on this blog, it was just ‘new in’ and now, looking for it on the website, it’s already on sale in the last chance section. This means this item is already on sale even before I got the chance to really wear it and flaunt it.
It made me think about fast fashion and I’m actually kind of disappointed in it.
We can find these amazing clothes online (or in store) for almost no money but we feel out of style the moment we wear it. And I know it’s all about how you look at it, but looking at the online store from Zara just makes me feel… bad.
I’ve been thinking about my wardrobe, and fashion in general, a lot lately and decided I want to use my items with more love and get the wear they deserve. Not only have I decided to start capsule wardrobing again – and quit shopping for a couple of months – I also decided to stop buying ‘fast fashion items’. I still love Zara for instance, but I want the items I buy, to be durable.
So I’m using this happy yellow top as my inspiration point, to feel happy with the items that are in my wardrobe and seriously think about the happiness new items will bring – or not.
Do you guys ever feel the same? The feeling you bought something amazing and a week or so later it’s already ‘out of style’?
