I thought it would be fun to talk about my most worn handbags and rank them in a top 5 position. Since I do keep track of my items with a spreadsheet and the Stylebook app, it’s easy to tell which ones I’ve used the most.
All of these bags are still in my collection, however, I will talk about some bags I’ve worn to death, but decided to part with as well in this post.
1 – Proenza Schouler PS11
Since this was my first ever designer bag, it’s quite normal that it is my most worn bag. For over more than a year this was the only luxury bag I owned and I would wear it to death. I’ve taking this with me on trips, to work, as an every day bag and it still looks amazing! This bag just fits so much and work with so many outfits, also because of the two-toned hardware on it. Nowadays I do tend to wear it more during fall and winter, since my collection has grown so much, but I’m still very much in love with this bag and it’s getting so much harder to purchase this style. This has been a serious it-bag several years ago, mostly on Pinterest, but I find it to be a very classic looking bag.

2 – Gucci Dionysus Mini bag
This won’t come as a surprise I guess… This was my second designer bag which I bought a little more over a year after the Proenza one. And they are really pretty close in number of times I’ve worn them, which says a lot! This is the main bag I grab for if I’m quickly going out, if I want a non-fuss bag with me, if I don’t know which one to take, … Because it literally goes with everything in my closet and is such a user friendly bag. I’ve taking this with me on every trip I’ve been on since I got it and it has become somewhat of a tradition to do this. The canvas is so easy to maintain, it cleans so easily but even with the suede I didn’t have any issues so far. I just can’t rave enough about this bag. It definitely is one of my most loved ones. Even though the hype is very much over, I still wear this bag every week and don’t see that changing any time soon.

3 – The Everlane Day Market Tote Bag
Wasn’t quite sure if I would talk about this one, since it’s not a very high end bag, but I decided to keep it real. And let’s state the obvious, a tote bag is so practical it’s hard not to use it often. Mostly I use this bag as an extra bag for work, so I’ll wear this with one of my other bags for my essentials and put all the workstuff in this one. But I’ve worn it by itself as well. Since I don’t baby this bag at all and it has a lot to endure, I’m amazed by how well it has held up. Since I do love wearing this style, I am thinking about buying one of a luxury brand, but I’m still doubting. I love the fact that I don’t have to baby it and that will change if I spend more on this kind of style… So we’ll see.

4 – The Louis Vuitton Speedy B25
As I talked about in my recent review, which you can find here, I’m not blown away by the quality and design of this bag, mostly because it’s a bag you see so frequently out on the streets. However, this is such an easy to wear bag. The canvas is really sturdy and it fits so much inside, it’s the perfect bag to take to work or out grocery shopping, … I also love that I went for the bandoullière version, so I have several options on how to wear this bag, but most of the time I put it over my shoulder so I have my hands free. I’ve owned this bag for almost a year now and am quite amazed by how much I’ve worn it, even though I’m not that wild about it. Maybe I should revisit my opinion.
5 – Chanel Boy Bag
My holy grail bag. I love this bag. I love the design, the history, the things it stands for, … just everything about it makes my heart skip several beats. But since it’s also the most expensive bag I own, I don’t use it on a daily basis. I want it to keep looking as it does now. I don’t save it for special occasions only, so I do wear it to go out for a walk and such, but I’m not as carefree as with my other bags when I use this one. And that’s okay, I love taking care of my items and the fact that I got it as a present from my hubby really makes me want to cherish it even more. Since I’ve had it for quite some time, it’s obvious it made the top 5 list as well. But even if it doesn’t make it to my most worn list, that doesn’t mean I don’t love it to death.
So these are my most worn bags that I still own. I’m not really surprised by this list, since the time they’ve been in my wardrobe has a huge role to play. I do think that this list will look so much different a few years from now because I’ve added so many bags to my collection. On the other hand, I wear them way more on rotation, so they numbers won’t increase that rapidly as before.
A sidenote I also wanted to make, is that before I got into this whole luxury bag-stuff, I only wore one brand as a constant and that is Rebecca Minkoff. Her bags are of such good quality, great design and are at a way more affordable price range. I’ve had the mini-mac in two different colours, but also had a few others. One piece I still have in my collection and that is an orange bag that I just can’t seem to part from. So I really wanted to mention this as well, because I now luxury bags aren’t for everyone, but there are some great designers out there where you don’t have to break the bank, like Zadig&Voltaire, Ted Baker, Sézane, Furla, Michael Kors, DKNY, …
Hope you enjoyed this post!
What is your most worn bag, I’d love to know!
